Deepwater Pottery We are happy to welcome you to our store on Ocracoke Island. Deepwater Pottery operates out of a beautiful old building, listed in the National Historic Register of Buildings as the "Dezzie Bragg house". It was built in 1898 in the traditional Ocracoke style, and we continue to honor that tradition. Deepwater Pottery is owned and operated by Christina Passanisi, together with husband Warner. Since opening, Christina has worked side-by-side with friend and colleague, Leslie Ann Lanier, who owns and operates Books to be Red in the same beautiful building. It is a peaceful and mutually-beneficial partnership that shows business and friendship can mix well. This is only too clear to be experienced for those who have visited us in our ever changing store. For a few years now, we have also been hosting weddings ceremonies and receptions on our large lawn, shaded by old live oak. If interested in this option, then please contact us as early as possible here. We look forward to you visiting us here on Ocracoke. ![]() Roll your mouse over the image map above to discover a little more about the store and its surroundings, click where you can.
